Prior to founding Chimney Rock in 2022, Rob was a Managing Principal at Odyssey Investment Partners, where he focused on investments in the industrials sector. During more than two decades at Odyssey, Rob worked on twelve platform investments across the aerospace and industrial services markets. He also co-founded Odyssey’s Los Angeles office and supported its growth from two professionals to over twenty professionals and staff. Rob also served on Odyssey’s Investment Committee and Compensation Committee.

Before joining Odyssey in 2002, Rob worked at UBS Warburg and Paine Webber within the Investment Banking Division. He received his Bachelor of Science in Management (BSM) in Finance from Tulane University Freeman School of Business. 

Prior to founding Chimney Rock in 2022, William focused on manufacturing and distribution opportunities at a private investment firm backed by ultra-high net worth families. Previously, William spent over a decade at Odyssey Investment Partners focused on investments in the industrials sector.

Before joining Odyssey in 2010, William worked at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, Allied Capital, and Lehman Brothers. He received his Bachelors degree from Babson College.

William serves as the Chief Compliance Officer for Chimney Rock.

Prior to joining Chimney Rock in 2023, Akbar was a Vice President with The Vistria Group and with Avista Capital Partners. Before Avista, Akbar spent five years at Odyssey Investment Partners in the Los Angeles office having joined Odyssey in 2014 focused on the industrials sector. Akbar started his career as an Analyst at Lincoln International in the Mergers and Acquisitions group.

Akbar received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics-Accounting from Claremont McKenna College and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Prior to joining Chimney Rock, David was a Vice President at Odyssey where he focused on investments in the industrials sector. 

David worked at RBC Capital Markets and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey. He graduated from the University of Georgia.

Prior to joining Chimney Rock in 2025, Thao was a Senior Associate with The Vistria Group, where she focused on investments in the healthcare sector. Thao began her career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as an Investment Banking Analyst and subsequently promoted to Associate.

Thao graduated summa cum laude from Dickinson College with a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics.

Prior to joining Chimney Rock in 2025, Raven was an Associate at Newbury Franklin where he focused on investments in the industrials sector. Raven began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at PMCF Advisors in the Industrials group.

Raven received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Prior to joining Chimney Rock in 2023, David was an Investment Banking Analyst at Piper Sandler and HSBC where he focused on the industrials sector. David began his career as a Consultant at Deloitte.

David received his Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Accounting and Master of Science in Accounting from Texas A&M University, Mays Business School. 

Rich primarily works with the Chimney Rock team and portfolio companies to support Game Plan initiatives related to technology and systems.

Prior to joining Chimney Rock in 2025, Rich held various senior technology roles at SunPower Corporation, most recently serving as Vice President of Business Technology, where he led global IT operations, strategy, and governance. Rich brings over 25 years of experience building and leading technology and cybersecurity teams across the industrials sector, including roles at Temple Inland and General Motors.

Rich holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and has earned professional certifications in risk management and project management from St. Edward’s University.
